About Me
Dr. Niharika Gupta is working as an Assistant Professor (Grade II) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Hamirpur. Her research is in the areas of Tribology, Lubrication, Vibrations, Surface texturing, Numerical modelling and Condition monitoring. She also has the teaching experience at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh. She holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and Master’s degree from IIT (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. She has completed her Bachelor’s degree from I.E.T Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. She is a recipient of International Travel Support (ITS) award by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology to attend “46th Leeds-Lyon symposium on tribology” international conference held at Lyon, France. She also received ‘Research Scholar Travel Award’ to attend “World Tribology Congress (WTC-2017)” held at Beijing, China by Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. After completion of Master of Technology (M. Tech) at Indian School of Mines Dhanbad, she was also awarded an Erasmus Mundus grant through EUPHRATES programme to pursue her PhD at University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She has achieved Governor Award in Scouts and Guides at her early age.
